MHS & V6 Careers Fair

Students of MHS and V6 Sixth Form were fortunate to meet a vast number of workplaces and training providers at the Careers Fair last week.

Organised by Mrs Donovan, Careers Lead and supported by the team of year 10 student ambassadors, students visited the stalls to discuss pathways into a variety of different industries and apprenticeships and hear first hand what employers are looking for in their workforce.

The fair was a popular addition to the comprehensive careers programme students receive throughout their time at MHS and V6 Sixth Form. It gave our young people lots of information to consider and helped them to begin thinking about their plans for their future selves.

We owe an enormous thanks to the number of visitors that took the time to join us:

Sophia held a workshop with students and answered their questions about apprenticeship pathways.

Mrs Donovan said of the Fair "We have been so fortunate to be able to gather all these organisations under one roof - our students are ambitious and excited to plan for their next steps. Students and their families can find out more careers and Post 16/18 information on our website. We are currently planning work experience week (30 June - 4 July) for our year 10 and year 12 students. If any employers are able to offer a placement to one of our dynamic young people please contact us."
